KASUR: There are as many as 246 prisoners on death row in the district jail here. According to officials, 16 out of 246 filed mercy petition with the President of Pakistan, while 33 filed appeals with the Supreme Court and remaining 197 with the Lahore High Court.
Sources said all these prisoners were awaiting courts' decision.
