z2LAHORE: LPG Distributors Association Pakistan has appreciated the government for taking bold initiatives under LPG Policy 2013 resulting substantial decrease in LPG prices.

 

Irfan Khokhar, Chairman of the association said here on Thursday that Rs 15 cut in per Kg price of LPG has been made from Thursday.

 

The impact of reduction in LPG prices on domestic cylinder would be Rs 170 and commercial cylinder Rs 650, he added.

 

All this could happen owing to the series of steps taken by the government to cut gas prices, he said. Pak-Iran agreement for supply of LPG is also among the reasons behind reduction in price, he added.

 

The chairman said that LPG has become much cheaper than petrol and diesel after reduction in its price which is a good omen for economy.

 

He congratulated the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain and other functionaries of the government for such a positive step.

 

Had the government not given due importance to the issue, the LPG consumers would have been paying the high prices of gas, he added.
