20 dead after bus plunges into river in Skardu valley

• The coaster was carrying 25 passengers.
• The bus was travelling from Rawalpindi to Skardu.

At least 20 people died and several were injured after a passenger bus fell into a river in Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday.

The bus was travelling from Rawalpindi to Skardu when it fell in Indus river at Roundo area of Skardu district. 25 passengers were onboard the coaster when it fell, local media reported.

Rescue operations is underway with teams shifting the injured to nearby hospitals.
