As precautionary measure, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and PTI Karachi Region President Khurrum Sher Zaman along with PTI Karachi workers distributed thousands of masks and pamphlets on coronavirus on Saturday in front of Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).
On the occasion he said that given the sudden shortage of protective masks and ignorance about coronavirus, PTI Karachi decided to distribute masks for free and pamphlets on coronavirus precautionary measures to the public.
The PTI Karachi Region President condemned the profiteering occurring on surgical masks due to coronavirus outbreak and demanded Sindh Government to take strict action against these profiteers and make sure the availability of masks at any cost.
"In times of crisis, it is shameful that we still have people in our society ready to profit in times of misery," he added.
Sher Zaman urged the government and media to launch public awareness campaign on coronavirus to avoid panic and anxiety that many are feeling due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
