Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would establish Panagah (shelter home) and Langar Khana (soup kitchen) at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for the patients and their attendants.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser held a meeting regarding the establishment of Panagahs and Langar Khanas across Islamabad with the special advisor to prime minister on health services, district administration and Panagah coordinator Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) here at the Parliament House on Wednesday.
The meeting also deliberated upon the possibility of establishing Panagah at PIMS, probably in any available vacant building or some under-construction building there, for the patients and their attendants, where food and shelter would be provided to the people free of cost as per the vision of the Prime Minister. The speaker asked all the stakeholders for expanding this revolutionary initiative and bringing improvement in the already existing ones. The speaker appreciated the indefatigable endeavors of Panagah Coordinator ICT Dil Khan and district administration and pledged his full support in this noble cause.
The speaker also discussed some of the important health related issues with the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Dr Zafar Mirza.
