On the invitation of Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, European Parliament's vice-president Fabio Massimo will be arriving here on Friday (today) on a two-day visit. Terming Fabio's visit very important, Governor Sarwar said that matters including extension in GSP-Plus Status and economic relations will be discussed. The Governor and European Parliament's VP will hold formal meeting in which economy and other issues will be discussed.
Fabio Massimo will also hold meetings with delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and business community apart from participating in various functions to discuss extension in GSP-Plus status, and ways and means to further improve Pakistan's access to European markets.
It may be noted that the Governor Sarwar during his recent visit to Europe this month, had invited Fabio Massimo for visiting Pakistan. In this visit, Governor Sarwar had met with 36 members of European Parliament and had successful discussions on extension in GSP-Plus status and economy.
The Governor Sarwar said that European Parliament Vice President's visit will help further improve relations between Pakistan and Europe, and Pakistan will have huge economic benefits.
