Poland's anti-monopoly body on Friday slapped a 40 million euro fine on a French company involved in building the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline, set to double Russian gas shipments to Germany via the Baltic Sea.
The UOKiK Polish Anti-Monopoly Office (UOKiK) said it fined Engie Energy for "repeatedly refusing, without any legal basis," to provide information on the pipeline's financing for its ongoing antitrust case.
