Taking an initiative to facilitate the area people, a young councillor of Union Committee (UC) 18, North Nazimabad, Mustafa Karani managed to collect Rs 0.4 million funds from his friends for carpeting work at Bilal Street. On Saturday, road carpeting was carried out under the supervision of provincial legislator of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr Imran Ali Shah.
Mustafa carried out the carpeting work of road of 10,000 square feet and all funds were generated from donors and friends. "I have collected Rs 0.4 million from my friends to facilitate the area people", Mustafa told Business Recorder.
Mustafa has also managed to remove the garbage from the area through private sweepers. "I have been donated tractor trolley and Bike Rickshaw by Chinese government to carry out sweeping work in the UC. Kerani hoped that he would talk more people friendly initiatives to provide civic facilities to the masses.
