Opposition not allowed to speak on orange train project

Opposition members in Punjab Assembly protesting on not being given permission to speak on issue of 'Orange Line Train' by the chair tore copies of agenda in the house. The opposition legislators also raised slogans against the government.
In a number of resolutions moved in the house on the day, two resolutions - one pertaining to slaughter house in which legislator Amir Sultan Cheema demanded that slaughtering of animals not be allowed outside slaughter houses and another in which an opposition female legislator demanded that lady employees be deputed in passport and NADRA offices for taking snaps of females. Both the resolutions were passed in the house.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah speaking to journalists in the assembly premises said that the opposition was raising baseless propaganda on the 'Orange Line Train'. He stated that this venture would be beneficial in making Lahore City a metropolitan nomenclature.
The minister said that Punjab had worked 100 percent on 'National Action Plan', adding that no madarsah in the province was involved in acts of terrorism. He dilated that they had completed 100 percent registration of madaris and mosques in the province.
Parliamentary Secretary Jails replying to question in question period told the house that the government was intending to build courts in the jails. He stated that there were already such courts in the province.
He averred that such courts were in central jails including five in Lahore, three in Rawalpindi, two in Multan , two in Faisalabad and one in Sahiwal. He said that in Annual Development Program of 2013-14 a plan was made to establish 10 additional such courts in the province. Parliamentary Secretary further said that there are 42 women prisoners in Adiala jail. He said in the jail there was also one woman prisoner with death penalty.
Parliamentary Secretary to a question told that the government was planning to establish public call offices in prisons of Punjab. He said there were already public call offices in District Jail Lahore, Central Jail Gujranwala and District Jail Gujrat.
Parliamentary Secretary further answering queries said there were 780 children in prisons of Punjab. He said that there were separate barracks for children in 27 jails of the province. He stated that a daily targeted check was made in prisons of the province. He disclosed that a weekly general check and search operation was conducted in prisons of Punjab. The house was later adjourned by the chair.
