Squash wizard Jansher Khan Sunday announced launching Junior Squash Academy as desired by President Pakistan Squash Federation Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex.
Talking to media, Jansher Khan disclosed that Director Sports PAF Sports Control Committee Group Captain Asghar Awan, former World Champion Qamar Zaman would also be there running the affairs of Academy.
He said before selecting players for U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 categories trials matches were conducted in the supervision of former World Qamar Zaman, Group Cap. Asghar Awan and he himself part of the committee.
For running the affairs of the Academy, the following trainers including Kamran, Nazir, Safeer Ullah, Gulab Sher, Amjad Khan, Khalid Khan, Maqsood hanif and Riaz Hussain were selected.
He said the aim and objective of the Academy, like other Academies of the world is to train and coach players at grassroots level so that to enable Pakistan to achieve the lost glory. The selected probables, he said, would be training and coaching rigorously for 3 to 4 years.
