American Consul General in Lahore Zachray Harkenrider met a top governing party leader Hamza Shahbaz in Model Town on Friday and talked about matters of mutual interest and local politics. Member of the National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz told his American guest that Pakistan was effectively coping with the challenge of terror and that the political and military leaderships were trying to root out the menace of terror.
He told the diplomat he was happy with the progress being made in the army's Zarb-e-Azb operation and also told the latter about the border tension and hoped the relations between Pakistan and America would further strengthen in the future. The diplomat praised the chief minister for the progress in the Punjab infrastructure. Political and Economic Officer of American Consulate Michael Cognato was also present.
