Heidi Grant, Deputy under Secretary US Air Force/International Affairs called on Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS), General Raheel Sharif Monday. Matters of mutual interest including regional stability were discussed. Earlier, Deputy under Secretary of US Air Force also called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff at Air Headquarters where the visiting dignitary was given a comprehensive briefing on the working of Pakistan Air Force.
The US Air Force for International Affairs has three primary focus areas. The first is relationships that include military exchanges, training and education, exercises, air shows, and other programs and activities that help strengthen relationships between countries. The second focus area is to develop international aviation capabilities and capacity. Foreign Military Sales is a very important tool used to accomplish this and the third focus area is to build a global community of airmen.
