NEW YORK: The euro briefly pared losses against the US dollar on Wednesday after a senior French source said the country has not been informed of any imminent downgrade of its AAA sovereign credit rating.
The euro temporarily rose above $1.27 after the comments. It last traded at $1.2674, down 0.8 percent on the day, according to Reuters data.
