KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 22,953.65 points with a negative change of -45.98 and volume of 59,786,900 shares. High and Low were 23,254.24 and 22,898.68 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 10 were up, 18 were down and 2 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 131,332,710 shares. Total companies traded were 352 of which 174 were positive, 166 were negative and 12 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 30,756,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 13,840,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were Faysal Bank Ltd with a volume of 18,274,000 and price per share of 23.99 (-0.02), Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 6,919,000 and price per share of 37.16 (-0.28), Fauji Cement Company Limited with a volume of 6,909,500 and price per share of 25.60 (-0.11).

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 7,998 (303.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,170 (100.00), Ghandhara Industries Limited with a volume of 9,700 and price per share of 723.20 (15.16).

The top three decliners were Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 1,550 and price per share of 1,031.51 (-53.49), ICI Pakistan Limited with a volume of 8,000 and price per share of 870 (-19.29), Hinopak Motors Limited with a volume of 2,160 and price per share of 989.33 (-15.70).
