Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the most significant criteria to know the social performance of any company, and to evaluate its net contribution to the nation. In an effort to mitigate the sufferings of the people affected by closure of businesses due to the adverse economic conditions and lockdown, SICPA Pakistan, in partnership with Apna Malir Association, distributed ration bags and other essential items amongst the daily wagers and needy residents of Malir, facing difficulties in the prevailing circumstances.

The company has also remained in the forefront in extending its support to affected families of the students of the SOS Village School suffering due to the lockdown. Ration bags were distributed amongst the students and their families containing sufficient amount of food/ commodities for a family of 8-10 persons.

SICPA Pakistan at the onset of Covid-19 immediately took several measures to control the spread of coronavirus and implemented a number of SOPs at its work premises. The company also put in place elaborate precautionary measures to ensure a safe work environment for its staff.

The measures include providing proper guidance to employees about their protection from infections, making the workplace safe for everyone. A steering committee was put into place ensuring strict compliance and adherence to SOPs keeping the work environment healthy and safe.

These measures adopted included temperature checks at entrances for all employees and visitors coming to SICPA Pakistan facilities. Furthermore, wearing of masks and gloves was declared mandatory within the company premises. All employees and visitors coming into the facilities are provided with masks and gloves at all entrances.

Mandatory social distancing measures were put into place to be adhered to every individual in the facility. Instructions include keeping a distance of at least 6 feet from one another as well as not forming groups while on and around company grounds.

Sanitizers are key towards effective control over the contagion. SICPA Pakistan has its in-house production unit for manufacturing sanitizing liquid which is provided to all its employees for use at all times. All offices, factory area and equipment is regularly disinfected and sanitized regularly.

In the overall scenario of the COVID-19 situation, our thoughts are with those affected by the virus in Pakistan and around the globe.
