RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Thursday having 49958.33 points with a negative change of 204.48 and volume of 64,797,020 shares.

High and Low were 50290.49 and 49875.56 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 268,794,770 shares with 384 total traded companies out of which 149 were up 221 were down and 14 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 43,542,600 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 42,416,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume of 22,475,000 and price per share of 14.76 (0.58), WorldCall Telecom with a volume 10,391,500 of price per share of 3.26 (0.13), Aisha Steel Mill. with a volume 10,313,000 of price per share of 25.79 (0.33).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 10200.00 (200.00), Unilever Foods price per share of 6350.00 (50.00) and Atlas Battery share of 990.01 (33.32).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2000.00 (86.00), Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share of 2284.50 (51.83) and Siemens Pak. share of 822.35 (26.10).
