Zero-tolerance on terrorism, extremism: Tariq Fazal
ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said civil and military leadership had zero tolerance for terrorism and extremism in the country and it would be rooted out.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad had been launched throughout the country to eliminate the menace of terrorism, he said.
Talking to a private news channel, he said operations would be carried out in all parts of the country including Punjab province to chase anti-state elements.
He said, unlike any other province, Counter Terrorism Department was actively working in Punjab against terrorists.
To a question, the minister said situation in Karachi was entirely different from other cities of the country as target killing, extortion and street crime were on peak in the past.
That was why special measures were taken to restore peace in the mega city and Rangers operation was launched there, he added.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government was determined to cleanse the country of terrorism and extremism.
