The replacement draft for the upcoming second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was held at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Lahore.
The five franchises of the PSL picked replacement foreign players after some of the players picked in the draft held previously dropped out of the competition either due to injuries, unavailability, international commitments or bans.
During the replacement draft Islamabad United and Karachi Kings maintained their original picks in place, whereas, the remaining franchises carried out with replacements.
Lahore Qalandars
From Lahore Qalandars made three changes after picking Englands Jason Roy in place of West Indian Dwayne Bravo, Australian Chris Green was picked in place of fellow Australian Shaun Tait, and New Zealands Anton Devcich was replaced by New Zealand James Franklin.
Peshawar Zalmi
Darren Sammy led Peshawar Zalmi too had three changes after they picked West Indian Marlon Samuels in place of Englands Alex Hales, West Indian Andre Fletcher replaces Afghanistans Mohammad Shahzad and Sri Lankan batting powerhouse Tillakaratne Dilshan replaces Bangladeshs all rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan.
Quetta Gladiators
The Quetta Gladiators was the most active franchise in the replacement draft, after they replaced four players including Englands Moeen Ali was selected in place of West Indian T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite, New Zealands Nathan McCullum replaces Englands David Willey, Sri Lankan Thisara Perera replaces West Indian Rovman Powell, coming as a surprise South African Rilee Rossouw would join Quetta Gladiators in place of Afghanistans Mohammad Nabi.
