District administration has called army for ensuring peace and maintaining law and order on the eve of August 18, 2005 LB polls in sensitive areas of the district.
Sialkot DPO Usama Mumtaz Raja, talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, said the police have chalked out a foolproof security plan for holding free, peaceful and transparent LB polls in the district.
He said that calm and congenial atmosphere would be provided to the electorate for casting their votes in a free and fair manner, as all the necessary arrangements have been finalised. DPO said that the entire Sialkot district has been divided into two divisions, eight circles, 26 sectors and 95 sub sectors under the supervision of SP (HQs) Sialkot Shariq Jamal Khan and SP (Investigation) Sialkot Abdul Samad Shah for holding the polls peacefully.
