Just when Misbah-led Pakistan team was being criticized for their ‘press-up celebrations’ at Lord’s, the country’s young talented heroes shine in India and celebrated their Rajiv Gandhi under-15 tournament victory in Pakistani team style, by doing press-ups in Chennai.
Customs Cricket Academy (CCA) U-15 cricket team won the 12-team tournament with a margin of 42-run against a strong side of the Tamil Nadu at Marina Beach Ground, local media reported.
The junior cricket tournament consists of 10 Indian state teams and one team each from Bahrain and Pakistan.
According to details, after opting to bat first the Customs Cricket Academy team set a 129-run target for Tamil Nadu.
The star of the match from CCA side was Saim Ayub, who scored 52 runs, followed by Badar Qureshi who managed to add 18 runs in the total of the team. Furthermore, Qureshi also added two scalps within three overs, whereas Adnan grabbed two wickets for his side.
Due to amazing bowling of our youngsters, the Tamil Nadu team was all-out for just 87 runs, with their highest scoring batsman ending his innings at 38 runs.
