Sugar down on grain market

Seeds, sugar, guwar sectors showed significantly variations, amid stepped up activities on Thursday (February 12, 2004).
On the sugar side, inferior sugar registered Rs 5 loss and better shed Rs 30 to Rs 1620, Gur was quoted down at Rs 1100 and Rs 1550, and Khandsari down Rs 100 to Rs 1700 and Rs 1900.
Guwar all stations up Rs 30 to Rs 1320 and better down Rs 50 to Rs 1550. Basmati 385 quoted at Rs 2400.
Makai on cerleas side inferior was down Rs 5 to Rs 735 and better down Rs 10 to Rs 740.
Seeds sector had variations in Dadulane down Rs 15 to Rs 635 and better down same amount to Rs 645, Mirpur inferior gained Rs 40 to Rs 750 and better gained same amount to Rs 760, cakes down Rs 30 to Rs 238 and better down same amount to Rs 240, til Sindh inferior up Rs 50 to Rs 1650 and better quoted up at Rs 1900, cotton cakes up Rs 5 to Rs 450.
