ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Senator Sartaj Aziz Friday informed the National Assembly that total 188 deaths were recorded during the tragic incident of crane-crash and Mina stampede.
Replying to a question during question hour, the advisor while giving break up figures said that out of the total deaths, 100 persons were registered with private tour operators and 88 with government schemes.
He said that 83 Pakistanis were martyred in Mina incident, out of which 26 had traveled for hajj through government scheme while 57 were registered with private tour operators.
Sartaj Aziz said that out of the total 6 Pakistanis who died in crane-crash incident 2 persons were registered with government scheme while other four had traveled through private tour operators.
The advisor said that as many as 90 natural deaths were reported during the period, out of which 60 persons were registered with government scheme while 30 others were registered with private scheme.
Sartaj Aziz informed the National Assembly that all the martyred persons, except one, have been buried in Saudia Arabia.
