ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Allama Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi on Thursday urged the Muslim Ummah to sit together and resolve the issues faced by them.
Addressing a press conference here, he said Ulema should play their role in ending division among Muslims on the basis of sects.
He said that time demands unity among all segments of society and Ulema role is important to lead the people to peace and prosperity in the country.
Tahir Ashrafi said suicide attack on a mosque of Saudi Arabia is evident that our enemies are targeting the holy places of Muslim world to achieve their nefarious agenda.
He said Ulema should play their meaningful role for the inter faith harmony and added minorities have equal rights and Islam protected their all rights.
Allama said after successful recent visit of Chinese President, India and other countries are targeting Pakistan.
He said the defence of religious seminaries and mosques is linked with Pakistan adding that if Pakistan progress other institutions including Madaris would also flourish.
Terrorists are the enemies of Islam and Pakistan and their adventures are destroying the image of sacred religion, he said.
He also congratulated the Prime Minister and Politico- religious parties for reaching and unanimous understanding on Thursday regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He said China is the country's closest friend and this project was one of the biggest projects of national interest and prosperity and it was the responsibility of all political parties to unite for the implementation of the project.
