WARSAW: Poland's registered unemployment rate fell to 11.2 percent in April compared to 11.7 percent the previous month, the state statistics office said on Tuesday.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected the rate at 11.2 percent.
The statistics office said that the number of registered unemployed stood at 1.782 million in April.
The data also showed the unemployment rate as measured by the Labour Force Survey (BAEL) rose to 8.6 percent in the first quarter of 2015 from 8.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014.
