Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has charmed his way into people hearts with his natural acting in popular Pakistani TV drama 'Dastaan' has now come to India as 'Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam' .
A love story set against the backdrop partition. The narrative of the show has undergone editing to suit the Indian perspective.
Directed by Haissam Hussain, the drama has garnered lots of appreciation from the Pakistani audience. Based on Pakistani author Razia Butt's novel 'Bano', the show revolves around Hassan (Fawad Khan) and Bano (Sanam Baloch), who unfortunately after getting engaged become a victim of the Hindu and Muslim riots, followed by the partition of India.
According to Indian media reports Priyanka Datta, business head, ‘Zindagi’ said, “The entire story has been told from the angle of Bano, and naturally she being a Muslim and the story revolving around the partition time, we have neutralized it for the Indian perspective. We have edited the show with a very balanced approach”.
The drama went on air on Monday on ‘Zindagi’ channel in India. The drama was shot primarily in Lahore, with one scene in Karachi, starring some of the brightest Pakistani actors such as Fawad Khan, Sanam Baloch, Samina Peerzada, Mehreen Raheel and Ahsan Khan.
