Governor condemns blast in Shikarpur, expresses grief over loss of precious lives

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has strongly condemned the bomb blast inside Imambargah in Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur on Friday during prayers and expressed his grievance and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

In a statement, the Governor termed the blast a cowardly and terrible act and expressed shock and grief over the incident, saying the perpetrators of such heinous acts could not be friends of Islam and the country.

He said such cowardly acts could not deter the government's resolve to fight terrorism and extremism. He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with patience.

He has also wished early recovery of the injured.
