Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra wants to make his blockbuster movie ‘3 Idiots’ in various languages because it left an impact on many people's lives. The Chopra production featured Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan and Kareena Kapoor in prominent roles.
According to Indian media reports he said, “I'd like to make '3 Idiots' in Chinese, French and English. It has touched a lot of people’s lives. I would love to make it in every language in the world. It changed many lives including my daughter. She left media studies and learnt ‘Kathak’. Now, she teaches dance”. Chopra also confessed that while he was growing up, he couldn't tell his father that he wanted to be a filmmaker and not a doctor.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘3 Idiots’ criticised the education system in India without being too preachy. Chopra added, “I love the format of documentaries. I would love to make documentaries”.
Chopra has also produced successful films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Mission Kashmir’. He is currently working on his Hollywood venture ‘Broken Horses’, which has been appreciated by ‘Titanic’ director James Cameron.
