LAHORE: Gas supply to CNG filling stations has been suspended in the provincial capital on Monday following low gas pressure.
According to officials of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), extensive use of geysers had adversely impacted on gas distribution system causing low gas pressure. They said, under the policy, domestic and industrial consumers were being given priority while gas supply to CNG stations would remain suspended as per weekly schedule.
It is pertinent to mention that gas supply to domestic consumers in the provincial metropolis was suspended on Sunday evening while pressure was also very low.
Meanwhile, as per announcement made by the SNGPL, gas supply to CNG stations in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Gujranawala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Bahawalpur regions will remain suspended till the improvement in gas pressure.
