Arjun Kapoor, who revealed the first look of his upcoming film ‘Tevar’ on Twitter, feels it’s important to promote a movie on social-networking sites. ‘Tevar’, the remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Okkadu’, is produced by Arjun Kapoor’s father Boney Kapoor and Uncle Sanjay Kapoor.
According to media reports ‘2 States’ actor said, “This is the first time that I have launched the poster of my film on Twitter. Promoting the film on digital platform is an emerging trend and it’s important too. It gives you a scope to interact with your fans and get feedbacks instantly. My only motive to launch the motion poster online was to be in touch with my fans”.
The actor has received a positive feedback from his celebrity friends and fans, who like the 29-year-old actor’s rugged look in the film. Arjun Kapoor is also planning to hold a contest with his more than three lac admirers on the micro-blogging site before releasing the trailer. Through the contest, the lucky ones will get a chance to meet him and the leading lady of ‘Tevar’ Sonakshi Sinha, media reported.
The Amit Sharma-directed film will hit theatres on January 9, 2015.
