ISLAMABAD: Ninth session of the National Assembly started here in the Parliament House Monday evening with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was in the chair.
In the very onset the Speaker announced the panel of Chairpersons comprising MNAs Dr Tariq Fazl Chaudhry, Chaudhry Asadur Rehman, Dr Arif Alvi, Dr Azra Fazl, Iqbal Khan and Shahida Akhter Ali.
The members will preside over the session in absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker National Assembly, in order of precedence.
The House also offered fateha for father of MNAs Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Waseem Hussain, sister of MNA Mahmood Khan Achakzai and mother of Senator Robina Khalid. MNA Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani led the fateha.
The House also offered fateha for eternal peace of personnel of Frontier Constabulary and police and civilians who were martyred in terrorist attacks.
