Prime Minister Imran Khan will be visiting Qatar on Thursday (today) to meet Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, as part of regular exchange of high-level visits, the Foreign Office said. In the statement, the Foreign Office said that the focus of the visit will be on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional developments. "Pakistan and Qatar enjoy close, cordial ties based on mutual trust and understanding," it stated, adding that bilateral relationship is broad-based and multifaceted, covering diverse fields including political, trade, commercial, defence, people-to-people contacts."
