FBR links promotions of lower staff to PSC exam

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has linked promotion of lower staff to the rank of inspector to the Public Service Commission examination. Sources said the FBR has issued a letter to all Chief Commissioners and Director Generals, carrying instructions for departmental promotions. Those working in BPS-7, 9 and 14 would also have to appear in this exam, it added. All the competent employees have been instructed to apply until 14th of November.
