Punjab government finalises draft for domestic workers

The Punjab government has finalized a draft for domestic workers and has fixed minimum age of 15 years for the job, said sources. According to the draft, the domestic servants would be known as domestic workers and no one would be allowed to have forced labour from them. Each domestic worker would remain on work place for eight hours besides a weekly off. The employer would be bound to give advance notice of one month or give additional salary before terminating the contract.
