PESHAWAR: President ANP Asfandyar Wali here Friday while criticizing the way of politics of Imran Khan said that he had crossed all limits of decency in politics and introduced politics of accusation, besmirching and mudslinging on opponents which is very unfortunate for the country’s politics.
Addressing 17th Worker’s Convention at Charsadda, he said that corruption was rampant in PTI led collation government in KP and the PTI parliamentarians were removed from the party after they leveled allegations of corruption against their party ministers from time to time during last four and a half years.
He made a mention of Ayesha Gulalai and Dawar Kundi MNA to substantiate his view point. He said if Imran Khan was true to his word, then he should present his blackberry mobile for investigations into accusation by his MNA Ayesha Gulalai.
He recalled that KP CM Pervez Khattak remained minister for over four years in the ANP led collation government from 2008-13 which he (CM KP) today described most corrupt regime in the province.
Had our government involved in corrupt practices, our ministers, MPAs and MNAs would have been in jail toady. Not a single case against our minister has been filed by the sitting government in the province whereas minister of Pervez Khattak government have become approver against their own Chief Minister in corruption cases.
He said that unless peace was restored in Afghanistan, the dream of maintaining peace in Pakistan cannot be achieved. He welcomed the Pak-Afghan-China peace initiatives.
ANP President urged the leadership of both the countries to sit together for thrashing out their misunderstandings generated over various issues in the past. Collective peace efforts by the neighbors are the need of hour to achieve the desired goal of harmony in the region.
Without naming Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) of Aftab Sherpao, he said that Imran Khan expelled the QWP from KP cabinet over corruption charges but ironically the same party was re-inducted into the cabinet after giving clean chit. And after sometime the same party was again thrown out from the cabinet on the same charges, he added.
