NA Committee discusses ‘Pakistan Food Security for Poor People Bill 2012’

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research here on Monday discussed the "Pakistan Food Security for Poor People Bill 2012" moved by the Tasneem Siddiqui.

 

According to a statement issued here the committee met with Javed Iqbal Warraich in the chair appreciated the research activities made by the Pakistan Agriculture Research Council to improve per acre yield by introducing latest techniques of cultivation and irrigation in the country.

 

The Food Security Committee gave a detail briefing about the livestock departments and Chairman PARC gave briefing on research activities made by the council.

 

The meeting was attended by MNAs, Malik Nawab sher Waseer, Gulam Farid, Mohammad Arshad Khan Lagari, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Dr. Nelson Azeem, Dr.Abdul Kadir Khanzada, Sajid Ahmad, MS. Khurshid Begum, Pir Muhammad Aslam Bodla and Zafar Beg Bhittani.

 

The senior officials of Ministry of National Food Security and Research also attend the meeting.
