BAHAWALPUR: Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park will start producing 100 MW electricity at the end of this year.
This was briefed to Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastagir Khan by Project Director (PD) Abdul Jabbar during his visit to Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park here on Tuesday.
The PD said that the park is being constructed on 10000 acres land and will be able to cater the energy needs of the country as well as Bahawalpur Region which is 225 MW. Boundary wall of the park is under construction while 10 kilometres lengthy road to the park has been completed, he added.
On the occasion, the Federal Minister said that energy sector is strongly connected with economy and due to special attention of the government, energy crisis has been mitigated. He said that loadshedding will end finally after completion of on-going energy projects.
