MULTAN: President Kissan Board Punjab Arslan Khan Khakwani urged the government to announce support price of wheat and also issue instructions to food and PASSCO departments to purchase the golden grains.
Arslan Khakwani informed that farmers would arrange countrywise "Kissan Conventions" to discuss problem faced by the farming community. He added that JI ameer Sirajul Haq would also address the conventions to be held in Khanewal on April 5.
He urged the government to pay focus on the agriculture sector as the farmers were backbone of country economy. He, however, added that farmers would continue to raise their voice for rights.
