Rs4b subsidy on flour in Ramadan

LAHORE: The Punjab government has approved Rs 4 billion subsidy for the provision of flour at low rates to people in Ramadan.

A spokesman for the Punjab Food Department said on Friday that a 10 kg flour bag would be sold at Rs 230. He said the Punjab chief minister had issued orders not to comprise on the quality and weight of flour bags to be provided under the Ramadan package.

He said the colour of 10 kg flour bags would be green to check its black marketing.
