WEYMOUTH: Spain's Tamara Echegoyen, Sofia Toro and Angela Pumariega gave Spain a third gold medal of the London Games Saturday with a victory in the Elliott match-race sailing class.
The Spanish crew triumphed 3-2 over the Australian crew of Olivia Price, Nina Curtis and Lucinda Whitty in the final five races to decide the gold.
Finland's Silja Lehtinen, Silja Kanerva and Mikaela Wulff earned bronze, winning the consolation final against Russians Ekaterina Skudina, Elea Siuzeva and Elena Oblova.
