FBR organises awareness seminar at KATI

KARACHI: An awareness seminar on Asset Declaration Scheme by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was held at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), which was attended by a large number of industrialists and traders.

KATI's Senior Vice President Faraz-ur-Rehman, Vice President Maheen Salman, head of KATI's standing committee on FBR Rashid Siddiqui, Chairman and CEO of KITE Zubair Chhaya, Akber Farouqui, Farukh Mazhar, SM Yahya, Tariq Malik, among others, attended the seminar, said a KATI press release here on Thursday.

Assistant Commissioner FBR, Malik Ghulam Abbas, gave presentation on Asset Declaration Scheme and replied questions of the participants.

SVP KATI Faraz-ur-Rehman said that there was need for reinforcing the confidence of business community in tax system.

He said taxpayers must get their due respect from the government institutions and be treated very positively.

Rashid Siddiqui appreciated the Federal government and the FBR for their right steps to document the country's economy.

He said consistency in economic policies would be necessary to strengthen the economy and to end uncertainty.
