LG patents futuristic foldable phone with transparent display

Foldable phones are already the hottest trend in smartphone industry these days, but LG is taking foldable phones to the next level by aiming to create a transparent one.

Smartphone manufacturer LG has recently been granted a patent that illustrates a futuristic foldable phone with an almost transparent display, noted LetsGoDigital.

The idea for LG’s phone is that it contains a flexible screen on both front and back. The half of the device will have an adjustable transparency, where the other half will feature some transparent portion along with an opaque section to accommodate the battery.

Also, the patented design shows that the phone will feature both a single-lens on the front and a multi-lens camera on back. It would also have a laser sensor that would be able to see objects in 3D, detailed Tech Radar.

Moreover, though it is just a patent, as per The Verge, LG does have the technology to make a transparent foldable phone. LG Display has already been demonstrating rollable OLED screen and transparent displays for some time now.
