Traffic plan: Here’s how to commute through Karachi during PSL week

With the arrival of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 in Karachi just days away, the law enforcement agencies have developed a thorough traffic plan for the tournament.

Areas surrounding Karachi East including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, University Road will be provided with special points for the fans. Five parking grounds are established around National Stadium, Karachi, in which four are placed at the University Road, informed DG Traffic Karachi.

The parking grounds include; Expo Centre, Hakim Saeed Ground, Federal Urdu University and Sunday Bazaar Ground, whereas, one parking ground is at Dalmia Road at Gharib Nawaz Football Ground.

These are the grounds where fans that will be coming to attend the event would park their vehicles, from there on they would be taken to the stadium via a special shuttle service.

The shuttle service would be active from 2pm-4pm during the match day that will be played in the evenings, whereas for the one day match, the shuttle service will be available from 10am-11am on the match day.

Whereas, routes leading from Karsaz, Dalmia and Hassan Square to Stadium Road will be closed for traffic during the match. However, roads leading to both private hospitals on the Stadium Road will remain open.

Some thirteen thousand police personnel including 700 women cops will be on security duty at National Stadium during the fast approaching Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.
