Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday claimed that his father former president Asif Ali Zardari is not using air conditioner (AC) in prison. Bilawal, who along with his sister Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, attended the case hearing of Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur, told reporters outside the accountability court that his father is not using the AC facility during imprisonment.
"When I and Aseefa went to meet Zardari in jail, he himself shut the AC. When we asked him about this, he said this is not something big for him. I and Assefa are asking him to use this facility," he claimed. Bilawal mentioned that his father has not been using the AC facility since Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to the US announced that A-class jail facilities for Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari would be withdrawn.
The PPP chairman told reporters that his party has a legacy of battling dictatorship and this 'puppet' government is no contest for them. "We will not compromise on democracy, 18th amendment, Constitution and the media independence," he declared. Bilawal also said that there were no political prisoners during the past tenures of the PPP. The PPP chairman said Prime Minister Imran Khan should pray for his party (PPP) to come into power as they do not believe in revenge, warning the PTI of severe outcome if the PML-N or Maulana Fazlur Rehman comes into power.
