Safety Week in Pakistan Ordnance Factories was organized under the auspices of HSE Department. In order to educate POF employees a seminar was also organized in which the Speakers highlighted the importance of Health, Safety and Environment in an industry and stressed upon the audience to create awareness among employees. There is a need to bring the standard of Safety, Health and Environment at international level as all organizations in the world focused on environment, Health and Safety of their employees. They further mentioned that there is a need to further improve the disaster management as we lack infrastructure to cope with natural calamities
In the end of Safety week, a walk was arranged in which POF officers, workers and students of local educational institutions participated. Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali, HI(M) Chairman POF Board was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Chairman POF Board while addressing the participants of Walk said that it is dire need of recent era to educate our youth about safety and cleanliness during their daily life. Tree plantation in our country is an essential requirement to maintain healthy environment. Students should be educated to participate in healthy activities like sports & games and to care about their personal hygiene.
