Zainab’s father once again demands public execution of convict Imran Ali

The father of seven-year-old Zainab, who was murdered and raped by convict Imran Ali, has once again demanded for the public execution of his daughter's murderer.

Speaking to the media, Zainab's father demanded that the convict should be publicly hanged. He said that the convict should be executed publicly to discourage other offenders from doing this inhumane deed.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued on Friday dead warrants for convict Ali and ordered his execution on October 17. Ali had been taken into custody on January 23 when his DNA had matched the samples taken from Zainab’s body.

On February 17, ATC awarded four counts of death sentence to Ali in its verdict and slapped him with a fine of Rs 4.1 million, one life-term and a seven-year jail term.

The minor girl was raped and murdered after being abducted on January 4. Her body was found at a garbage dump site, five days after she went missing.
