On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 6,070 million as compared to PKR 5,769 million reported on Wednesday, an increase of 5 percent. The number of lots traded was 23.06 million. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,465. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3,915 million, a 64 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by crude oil (PKR 1,947 million), silver (PKR 205.52 million) and cotton (PKR 2.94 million).
