Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to compensate affectees of sector H-16, and I-17 by Wednesday (today). Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui directed the CDA to submit the compensation amount in form of cheque to the court on Wednesday. A number of petitioners have approached the court seeking compensation of their land CDA had acquired for developing the above mentioned sectors.
The petitioners stated that despite the passage of more than five years, CDA has not yet made compensation against the land it acquired. The court warned the CDA of facing the music if the authority failed to produce cheques before the court. The matter was adjourned till Wednesday.
