Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML=Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi have said that stability, national solidarity and safeguarding the national security was the most important demand of the time. In a joint statement issued here on Sunday they said it was responsibility of every Pakistani to practice the sayings of the founder of Pakistan ie unity, faith and discipline in letter and spirit and in this regard the youth could play important and effective role.
In their messages on the auspicious occasion of the Pakistan Day they said the Pakistan Day was a matter of great pride for every Pakistani and Muslim Leaguer, on this day Muslims of the sub-continent had pledged to secure a separate homeland for themselves under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and established the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the basis of two-nation theory just in seven years.
"We should reiterate our commitment to safeguard the ideological basis of Pakistan, defend its security and work for its progress and prosperity and pledge to brush aside all our political, personal and sectarian differences to bring all our energies into full play for making Pakistan economically and defence-wise very strong and turn it into an Islamic welfare state, overcome all internal and external threats and challenges through national unity, shoulder our responsibilities very honestly with best capabilities, eliminate poverty, backwardness, illiteracy and unemployment."
The PML-Q leaders called upon PML-Q workers, particularly the youth, to play the role of vanguard in this struggle.
They said it was the duty of every Pakistani to give preference to the interest of the nation and the country over personal and political interests and work with same commitment and spirit which our elders had displayed during the Pakistan Movement.
