LAHORE: The local cotton market on Tuesday remained easy and the trading volume was satisfactory. Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 17,000 to Rs 17,500 per maund. The rate of cotton in Punjab is in between Rs 19,000 to Rs 19,500 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500 per 40 kg. The rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 7,500 to Rs 10,000 per 40 kg.

About 3000 bales of Tando Adam were sold at Rs 17,250 to Rs 18,500 per maund, 2000 bales of Shahdad Pur were sold at Rs 17,700 to Rs 18,500 per maund, 3000 bales of Sanghar were sold at Rs 17,400 to Rs 18,200 per maund, 600 bales of Kotri were sold at Rs 17,300 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 800 bales of Nawab Sahib were sold at Rs 18,000 to Rs 18,200 per maund, 600 bales of Shah Pur Chakar were sold at Rs 18,000 to Rs 18,500 per maund, 200 bales of Samundr were sold at Rs 20,200 per maund, 200 bales of Khair Pur Tamewali were sold at Rs 19,9900 per maund, 400 bales of Jhang were sold at Rs 19,700 per maund, 1800 bales of Vehari, 200 balers of Yazman Mandi, 200 bales of Haroonabad were sold at Rs 19,500 per maund, 400 bales of Mian Channu were sold at Rs 19,900 per maund, 800 bales of Gojra were sold at Rs 19,500 to Rs 19,700 per maund, 400 bales of Mureed wala, 600 bales of Mongi Bangla were sold at Rs 19,500 per maund, 200 bales of Toba Tek Singh were sold at Rs 19,400 per maund, 600 bales of Khanewal were sold at Rs 19,000 to Rs 19,800 per maund.

The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 19,200 per maund. The rate of polyester fiber was increased by Rs 5 and was available at Rs 325 per kg.
