LAHORE: Awaz Foundation Pakistan organised a seminar on pre-budgetary discussion for the Girls Right to Quality Secondary education here on Saturday.

Representatives of civil society including NGOs, lawyers, students, teachers, parliamentarians, media attended and participated the event. Main purpose of this seminar was to raise expression that Government should increase the educational budget and to discuss the gaps in governance matters. Participants also shared their concerns over the missing facilities for girls in Government schools as well as less number of girls’ secondary & higher secondary schools.

Speaking on the occasion Founder & Chief Executive-Awaz Foundation Pakistan Zia ur Rehman expressed that we see huge drop out of girls both in rural and urban areas due to unavailability of basic facilities in schools when girls’ schools are already less in number than required.
